THEM is a zine focusing on feminism, LGBT issues, and how the two fit in the modern digital world. This zine is a multimedia project that combines photography, graphic design, layout design, web design, and original writings which mimics the melting pot of skills that my generation uses everyday without effort. For that reason, I taglined it, "A Zine For The Modern Entity," because our relationship with technology has become an extension of ourselves, allowing us to be considered cyborgs.

In addition to blurring the lines between human and technology, this decade has the most freedom to be able to redefine your own gender, sexuality, and identity than any other previous generation. Our society is starting to shift on how we express ourselves as humans, and my goal of this publication is to zoom in on some of those fault lines and explore where we feel strong and where we feel weak.

This zine is an amalgamation of original writings, photography, graphic design, web design, layout design, and animations. Every element of this publication was created by me in a 9 month period. THEM currently has 120 editions in circulation and has been distributed at various college campuses in the state of Michigan. Plans are being made to have the zine available at Women's and LGBT resource centers as well.
